BluePlanner was originally developed in 2003 as a Sales Planning & Trade Promotion Management tool in collaboration with business units of Danone in the United Kingdom. Between 2004 and 2006, the solution evolved into a successful collaborative platform. BluePlanner received the Danone global award for Best Promotion Tool in 2006.
UpClear was established in 2007 and took ownership of BluePlanner to take it even further. The solution was completely rebuilt using .NET technology. Its technical architecture was made scalable and highly configurable to address the needs of wider markets and requirements.
UpClear started commercializing the new BluePlanner software in 2008 in the United Kingdom and United States, and then other European countries from 2009 to 2010. In 2012, UpClear also established a presence in Hong Kong to support deployments in Indonesia and China.
Today, UpClear collaborates with clients in twenty countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa to optimize sales revenue, trade promotions, and profit on internationally recognized brands.
UpClear has a proven track record of successful BluePlanner deployment to consumer goods manufacturers. This is the result of our flexible software, a lean deployment process, and an efficient support structure.
We support dozens of clients across 20 countries spanning North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Our international and multicultural team is located at our three primary offices in New York, London, and Hong Kong, and branches in France and Australia.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Since founding UpClear in 2007, Thierry has been a driving force behind the Company’s rapid growth. With an absolute passion for client satisfaction and collaboration, combined with a focused strategy of embracing our software-as-a-service model, we now serve clients in over twenty countries across four continents.
Understanding the challenges commercial teams face from over ten years of experience in the USA and Europe in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industry, Thierry developed BluePlanner, our revenue management software, and created UpClear. His aim then, as now, is to provide an intuitive ‘one-stop-shop’ for the commercial teams: “If it makes the job harder or more complicated it isn’t right.”
Thierry is an avid runner, participating in the New York and Paris marathons every year.
Chief Financial and Administrative Officer
John is responsible for helping to deliver efficient, high-value services and solutions to our clients. Dedicated to ensuring that we operate on a consistent basis globally, in agreement with local standards and best practices, John has overseen our growth since joining UpClear in 2012.
John brought over thirty years of finance experience, gained mostly in international assignments with AT&T and Deloitte to UpClear and is committed to delivering best-practice across the Company.
Over the course of John’s career, he has visited 33 different countries and once had the privilege of working for Captain Jim Lovell, former astronaut and commander of the Apollo 13 mission.
Olivier manages the BluePlanner solution architecture and leads development of the web-based user interface.
Olivier has been working on Web development since 1995, having built numerous applications over the past 20 years. He has experience in multiple technology domains: mobile, cloud, BI, and nontraditional databases.
Olivier is a co-founder and former CTO of the leading cooking Web site in France: Marmiton.org. He is a fan of gypsy jazz music and plays the guitar. He also draws graphic novels.
Client Services Director - EMEA
Gabriele manages our existing client base and growth in EMEA, as well as the development and ongoing improvement of our Analytics and Trade Promotion Optimization capabilities.
Gabriele joined UpClear after five years of FMCG experience gained through consulting and industry work in Europe. He has expertise in commercial transformation methodologies along with Pricing and Revenue Management best practices.
Gabriele is an avid Juventus F.C. and Chelsea F.C. fan.
Client Services Director - Americas
Rajeev is responsible for supporting UpClear’s growing client base across the Americas
Rajeev joined UpClear after more than 15 years in CPG. He started his career in CPG Management Consulting, covering CRM/TPM with IBM / PwC first, then with Oracle-Siebel. He then joined Clorox where he spent the next 10 years leading projects in IT transformation, Trade Promotion Optimization, and Sales Planning.
Rajeev enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, live music and has been known to make a (short) movie or two.
Client Services Director - APAC
Bevan leads UpClear’s APAC growth strategy.
Bevan joined UpClear with over 12 years of experience consulting with CPG manufacturers and retailers. At IBM, he was responsible for the Price and Promotion Optimization implementations at several top-tier global retailers, and most recently as a Retail Subject-Matter-Expert across Asia-Pacific.
Bevan’s hobbies include Aikido, studying philosophy, and learning Asian languages. He enjoys exploring the natural onsen (hot-springs) around Japan and sailing in Greece.
Director of Solutions & Product Delivery
As we grow and continue to develop our Revenue Management capabilities, Remy oversees our product roadmap delivery driven by our continuous client collaboration and the evolving markets.
Rémy was with UpClear at its formation in 2007 and was involved in the early life of BluePlanner. He subsequently spent a decade with Nestlé, becoming the Supply Chain Director for the Breakfast Cereals category in France. He rejoined UpClear in 2018 and is based from our Paris office.
Remy likes to run on mountain trails in all weather conditions, at day and at night.
Gerard has enjoyed a thirty year career on the front edge of all things new and challenging in technology development. He is a published author on software programming and a specialist in Windows and .NET architecture and application development.
Gerard was inspired by Thierry’s vision to develop intuitive, quick-to-deploy, yet robust software solutions. He has been involved on the BluePlanner software since 2005, having gone through several evolutions to make BluePlanner the high-powered, web-based proven management tool that it is today.

Jean-Sébastien manages UpClear’s global relationship with Danone, including 20 business units across Europe and Asia.
Jean-Sébastien has 20 years of experience in FMCG with Danone in IT, Internal Audit, and running transformation projects for Finance, Supply Chain and Sales.
Jean-Sébastien plays the saxophone and enjoys traveling to experience new cultures.
Enterprise Client Lead
Prashanth has a wealth of experience in B2B SaaS. His experience has seen him work across Asia, supporting a leading event management company from its early days to public listing.
Prashanth started playing badminton while working on his MBA in China. He’s since played with top international players, including the former Global #1. He lost but lived to tell the story.
He’s also a fragrance enthusiast or “FragHead” as he likes to call himself. He has a collection of over 100 perfumes that’s steadily growing. He aspires to create his own signature perfume someday.
Enterprise Client Lead
At UpClear, Christopher leads the London-based EMEA consulting and deployment practice and serves as the global account lead for Perfetti Van Melle. Christopher has over a decade of experience leading enterprise projects in Revenue Management, Sales Analytics, and Supply Chain Management, and successfully deployed several software solutions for billion-dollar FMCG brands before joining UpClear in early 2017.
Christopher holds an MBA and Masters in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business and is an avid traveler, having visited and worked in over 50 countries. In his free time, Christopher is a dedicated runner and will be participating in the 2019 London Marathon.
