2021 Year-End Review

2021 has certainly been quite a year across a few fronts. We have, like all other businesses, teams and individuals, adjusted to the new normal of pandemic life and continued to move forward. Our team’s efforts and energy across our product, clients, and corporate initiatives have been outstanding. Our growth has persisted with our appearance on Inc 5000 for the 8th consecutive year. The holiday season being firmly upon us, we are taking a moment to review the highlights of our 2021.

New Clients 

This year we added some significant brands to their client list, and expanded into new markets. In North America, we have rolled out our BluePlanner software to Essentia Water, C.A. Fortune,  Bissell Homecare, and Ripple and have a few other on-boarding’s on the way.  In Europe, BluePlanner was launched with Butcher’s Petcare in the UK and Intersnack (Kelly’s Snack) in Austria, in partnership with Infor, and we pursued our expansion into new markets with Perfetti-van-Melle. We also started the blueprint template for a multinational deployment for a personal-care brand.  In Asia, UpClear continued to work with Kraft-Heinz in Indonesia,and went live in Japan. 

Client Collaboration

We have enjoyed multiple opportunities to collaborate with our clients this year despite being unable to join them onsite.  Some of our clients, including Ferrero, Perfetti Van Melle, VitaCoco, Utz, and Premier Nutrition shared their TPM and RGM journeys via webinars globally.  We were able to cap off the year with a two-day virtual user group with most of our clients in the US, where they were able to share best practices and UpClear presented the product roadmap as well as continuous improvements on how we collaborate with our updated online portal. We appreciate their precious feedback.

Innovation 

A new version of our product was released, BluePlanner 5, which marks the most significant upgrade to date.   With this release we leverage the latest Tech stack to bring a modern and slick user experience, with a focus on visualization, real-time intelligence and simulations, and new capabilities around multi-level planning.  We’re excited to bring BluePlanner to the market, and help our clients make the most of advanced Revenue Management in the easiest possible way.  

Communications 

Our marketing efforts have led to a number of updates, most notable a relaunch of our UpClear website. This evolution of design, content, and service offering communicates UpClear’s industry focus and growth as global Tech company.  We created a new Focused Resources section, offering content targeted to our distinct audiences: emerging and growing brands, international brands, revenue management leaders. And we laid out our four service offerings on Trade Promotion Management, Trade Promotion Optimization, Integration Business Planning and Revenue Growth Management.  

Happy Holidays 

Finally, this year has seen some great additions to our global team, with new team members joining UpClear in the London, Paris, and NYC offices. We also saw other additions to the UpClear team, welcoming four newborns to UpClear team members families this year. Across each office, we have grown, and come together over our core principles of Resourcefulness, Commitment, Forward-thinking, Collaboration, and Responsibility.
