Danone Netherlands Puts BluePlanner at the Core of its Planning Process

The Danone Group is the global leader in dairy products with international brands such as Actimel and Activia. The Netherlands has one of the highest dairy products consumption per capita in Europe and Danone Netherlands plays a leading role in this market. Following what had been done through its sister companies in the UK, Danone Netherlands decided to implement BluePlanner in 2010.

Initially, the main project driver was to improve collaboration between Sales and Operations to further improve forecast accuracy and, in the end, on-shelf availability. Thanks to BluePlanner, Danone Netherlands quickly established a better controlled promotion process and eliminated numerous spreadsheets and manual processes. A few years later, with a high level of integration with Finance and Operations systems and the BluePlanner advanced reporting features, Danone Netherlands is now taking full advantage of a fully integrated process.
