KP Snacks has deployed UpClear’s BluePlanner TPM to manage the trade promotions for their savory snack products in the United Kingdom. Founded over 150 years ago, KP Snacks focuses on corn, potato and nut-based snacks. Their portfolio of brands includes Hula Hoops, Skips, McCoy’s, Frisps, Brannigan’s, Royster’s, Space Raiders, Nik Naks, Wheat Crunchies, Discos, and Phileas Fogg.
There is always a challenge when it comes to replacing legacy systems, so much so that entire consulting practices have been developed around change management and/or digital transformation. One of the more painful aspects of shifting to a new solution is the amount of time it takes to manage every aspect of the shift prior to going live, which can disrupt and delay workflows. KP Snacks placed a high priority on keeping the deployment timeline as efficient as possible. Given that rapid deployment is a highly celebrated benefit with Upclear and BluePlanner (time to go live can be as little as 4-6 weeks), it was a natural fit for their business and trade promotion management needs.
As a leading snack brand in the UK, KP Snacks manages promotions across a wide range of clients and SKUs. Tracking, managing and optimizing the performance of trade spending is complex. BluePlanner’s core functionality is designed around efficiency in planning- including the ability to copy past promotion calendars- and reporting with analysis across multiple levels to provide relevant data across departments.
KP Snacks’ UK deployment of BluePlanner TPM is an extension of the relationship between UpClear and KP’s parent company, Intersnack, who uses BluePlanner in Austria.
Trade Promotion Management brings visibility, insight, and efficiency to sales planning, settlement, and business analysis processes. UpClear is proud to welcome KP Snacks to the BluePlanner TPM community.
