Today marks UpClear’s 15th anniversary. From an idea generated in a small London apartment, we now operate globally and serve clients in 25+ countries across Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. As such, we have always been conscious of the environmental and social challenges around our planet. And our team is committed to consistently improve our social and environmental impact. After years of contributing to small-scale programs such as local charities and office recycling, we are thrilled to take it to the next level and announce that we are now a proud gold standard member of the 1% for the Planet network.
Engage with our clients and employees
Our Corporate Social Responsibility program includes a code of conduct, a set of values, and practices that bring to light our commitments. 1% for the Planet is now at the heart of our practices, next to our carbon neutral engagements and office recycling programs. We are inspired by some of our clients that are setting the example as responsible organizations. We will engage with them and our employees to tackle some of our planet’s most pressing environmental issues.
Connected with the world
1% of our revenue will be going to non-profit partners. Our giving strategy will include monetary donations and employee volunteering time. We will address areas such as food, land, climate, water, pollution and wildlife. We will focus primarily on education to maximize and sustain a positive influence on the world. 1% for the Planet is a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. It inspires businesses and individuals to support environmental nonprofits through membership and everyday actions. It makes environmental giving easy and effective through partnership advising, impact storytelling and third-party certification. Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, members have given more than $280 million to our approved nonprofit partners to date. Today, 1% for the Planet’s global network consists of thousands of businesses, individuals and environmental nonprofits working toward a better future for all.
