A subsidiary of Barilla Group, Back to Nature features a portfolio of plant-based, non-GMO cookies, crackers, granola and nuts & trail mix products sold in the United States. In addition to their business interests, Back to Nature has also demonstrated a commitment to the environment by partnering with The Nature Conservancy. Their ten-year relationship was recently expanded to support the organization’s “Plant a Billion Trees” program.
Back to Nature selected UpClear for its TPM Solution in late 2024. The company hired a consultant to review existing business processes and map out how the solution would integrate with their existing systems and processes. The BluePlanner rollout project ran from October with a Go Live in March 2025 for promotional planning.
As a secondary phase to the project, Back to Nature has implemented the integration of payments into BluePlanner, having gone live in July, 2025. As a result, there is full integration with SAP ERP. Planned OI allowances are communicated from BluePlanner to SAP, deductions are imported from SAP to BluePlanner, and reconciled deduction and check request information is sent back to SAP.

BluePlanner’s deployment process is divided into phases. During the first phase, the focus is on enabling the creation of bottom-up account plans in BluePlanner. This milestone includes collaborative workshops, TPM configuration, and data integration. In the second phase, payment and deduction management capabilities, and analytics dashboards are rolled-out, and systems integration work takes place.
